How a Refinishing Project Works

• 1. Free on-site estimate. We look at the floor and give you an itemized written quote.

• 2. You clear the room. Move out furniture, rugs and appliances. We don't move furniture.

• 3. Dustless sanding. Old finish and scratches come off, and the dust goes into the vacuum instead of your house.

• 4. Stain and finish coats. Your chosen color, sealed with Bona waterborne finish.

• 5. Cure. Socks only after 6 hours, normal use after 72 hours. Most projects take 5 to 7 days in total.​

Older & Historic Floors in the Rogue Valley

Many older Rogue Valley homes have tight-grain Douglas fir or pine floors. These softer woods need a different sanding setup, and we know how to set it up. Restoring the original floor usually costs far less than replacing it, and you keep the character of the house.

• Refinish, Recoat or Replace?

• 💧  Put a few drops of water on a high-traffic spot. If it beads up, a screen and recoat may be all you need. If it soaks in and darkens the wood, it's time for a full refinish. Replacement is only needed for rot, severe cupping or a worn-through wear layer. See the full FAQ on our home page.​
